We're hard at work finally, putting the new site look up, and making sure all the content is fresh and newly updated. Please bear with us over the next week or two if you find something missing or a broken link or two. We are working hard to get caught up so if something doesn't work right today, please check back tomorrow!
If you're looking around for a few of the sections we had before, I'm sorry to say that some of them are just plain gone. I decided it was time to narrow the focus of the site a bit to make sure we can really do a good job of covering the things we kept around. We were getting a little thin before, trying to offer something for everyone. We've got a new sitemap here though, so you can see all the sections.
It all started out harmlessly enough. The idea is pretty simple, put a little fatter tire on a bike, mess with the gearing a bit so that it's easier to go up and down hills, and with those few little changes, and entirely new sport was born. Today, I'd challenge you to find someone who doesn't at least know what a Mountain Bike is. Living out here in the west, we're surrounded by some of the truly epic Mountain Biking destinations. Moab, Utah has over the last decade or so become an absolute Mecca for fat tire enthusiast. The Moab Slick Rock bike trail is a right of passage for many, and something that a lot of people do on a regular basis. But Moab isn't the only place for great rides. Most ski resorts have also figured out that they can use their lifts and trails to draw summer visitors, and so it's not uncommon to see a ski lift running up the mountain in the heat of summer, with a rack on the back of the chair carrying the bikes uphill.
We'll do our best to collect up a bunch of great rides here, we'll keep tabs on what's going on in the way of new gear and gadgets that are the latest "must haves" and while we're at it, we're going to try to get out of the office more ourselves and spend more time in the saddle. We'll keep you posted on our own adventures along the way. There's usually a good crash or two when we go, so that should make for some interesting reading. Stay tuned!
