We're hard at work finally, putting the new site look up, and making sure all the content is fresh and newly updated. Please bear with us over the next week or two if you find something missing or a broken link or two. We are working hard to get caught up so if something doesn't work right today, please check back tomorrow!
If you're looking around for a few of the sections we had before, I'm sorry to say that some of them are just plain gone. I decided it was time to narrow the focus of the site a bit to make sure we can really do a good job of covering the things we kept around. We were getting a little thin before, trying to offer something for everyone. We've got a new sitemap here though, so you can see all the sections.
Fish Lake is the largest natural lake in the state of Utah, and it's famous for its great fishing and spectacular scenery. Located in the South - Central part of the State, the lake itself forms the center piece of the Fishlake National Forest. The surrounding area has plenty of typical high mountain Utah territory, large Aspen groves, Pine forests and plenty of smaller alpine lakes.
The lake itself is roughly 6 miles long and about 1 mile wide, and supports a nice population of large Lake Trout. Winter settles in hard in this area, so ice fishing is definitely popular with those hardy enough to brave the elements. Be aware that this lake sits at about 8000 feet above sea level, so unless you're tough, you probably aren't going to want to spend much time swimming in it, even during the height of summer.
There are two Marinas on the lake, camgrounds, some rental cabins and even a couple of restaurants that are open during the summer season.
