Finally - a new look!
We're hard at work finally, putting the new site look up, and making sure all the content is fresh and newly updated.  Please bear with us over the next week or two if you find something missing or a broken link or two.  We are working hard to get caught up so if something doesn't work right today, please check back tomorrow!

Some sections gone
If you're looking around for a few of the sections we had before, I'm sorry to say that some of them are just plain gone. I decided it was time to narrow the focus of the site a bit to make sure we can really do a good job of covering the things we kept around. We were getting a little thin before, trying to offer something for everyone. We've got a new sitemap here though, so you can see all the sections.
Car Camping
Deer Creek Reservoir, Utah

Car camping... Something the purists often scoff at. How can it truly be camping if you can drive there, right? We disagree. Let's face it, with time becoming a more precious commodity by the day, we can't always backpack into some great place. Or if you have kids, its not all that easy to get them into and out of some remote wilderness spot for the weekend. And so, those of us firmly grounded in the reality of family life turn to car camping. Now, let me just say that when we call this "car" camping, we're not trying to exclude those who head out in an SUV or truck. On the contrary, we all drive something capable of getting us quite a ways off the pavement around here, but SUV Camping just doesn't have the same ring to it.

So in this section, we're going to cover the more family oriented form of camping that comes with packing the gear up into the vehicle and heading out to a campground, or perhaps even just to an open part of the wilderness that is at the end of some dirt road. We'll make sure we don't discrminate against those of you who prefer campgrounds and those of you who find your thrills at the end of some dirt trail. We'll show you some cool tricks for getting the most out of this kind of camping and some cool gear that you may want to take along to make things all that much better.
