Finally - a new look!
We're hard at work finally, putting the new site look up, and making sure all the content is fresh and newly updated.  Please bear with us over the next week or two if you find something missing or a broken link or two.  We are working hard to get caught up so if something doesn't work right today, please check back tomorrow!

Some sections gone
If you're looking around for a few of the sections we had before, I'm sorry to say that some of them are just plain gone. I decided it was time to narrow the focus of the site a bit to make sure we can really do a good job of covering the things we kept around. We were getting a little thin before, trying to offer something for everyone. We've got a new sitemap here though, so you can see all the sections.
Fly Fishing
Fishing

I grew up in Utah, and my Dad used to drag my brother and I out of bed early in the morning on summer weekends and take us up to his favorite section of the Provo River. We'd stop for a real early breakfast, then be on the river as the Sun was first peeking over the mountains. Those early days buried a love for fly fishing deep inside me, and I continue to enjoy the sport to this day.

From where I'm sitting right now writing this, I can leave the office and be on the Weber river in 35-40 minutes. On most summer afternoons, there'll be another fisherman or two sharing the river with me, but not enough people to constitute a crowd. So, on any given day, the back of my rig is loaded and ready to go, waders, fly vest, rod, it's all in there so I don't have to make a single stop between my desk and the river. I count myself extremely lucky to be in this part of the country and this close to some excellent fly fishing destinations.

As we jump into the subject of Fly Fishing, we'll cover a lot of our local rivers in depth, from the mighty Green River to the slightly less well known but almost equally productive Provo River. And we'll try not to miss any excuse to grab the rod and go research another destination.

Some Other Cool Resources
eBooks

Unfortunately, we can't all be out fishing as often as we'd like. I have to admit it, as much as I enjoy working on this site, I'd still much rather be standing in a river right now, working a fly across the top of a pool or behind a boulder. I expect you're probably in the same situation, you'd be out there fishing right now if you could be, but there's that J-O-B thing getting in the way. Not to worry, while you maybe can't be fishing right now, there's no reason you can't be honing your skills a bit. We've found some really great ebooks, you can download them right now and pick up some really great information from some of the guys who make it look easy. Check them out!
