If you'll
indulge me, I want to take a few minutes to explain why this
section exists in a website that is dedicated to outdoor
recreation. The reason I'm devoting space and resource to
the pursuit of mental and physical fitness is because I truly
believe that life can be lived in many different ways. You
can choose to watch it from the sidelines, or you can choose to
get out and live it to the fullest, right in the middle of all
the action.
|
|
I'll assume that if I
still have you attention at this point, that you're one of those
people who has decided to get out and live life well,
experiencing and relishing as much of it as you can. To
that end, I feel that it is absolutely vital that you take good
care of the body and mind. In this section I'm going to be
working to bring you information that will be helpful to you as
you either start, or continue to maintain a healthy, energetic
lifestyle.

Beyond this page,
we've also got two new sections; Mental
Fitness where we're going to be covering the mental aspects
of physical fitness, harnessing the power of the mind to help
keep the body well, and Physical Fitness where we're going to be
gathering up the nuts and bolts components of building and
maintaining a strong body. And on this page, we'll
highlight some of the newest general health information we've
found.

Recently, I came across Dr.
David Williams, who is one of the world's leading
authorities in natural healing. In 1985 he sold a very
successful non-invasive alternative medical practice and
devoted his full time attentions to furthering the worldwide
search for natural medical treatments and therapies.
While there's no doubt that a great deal of good has come from
the major pharmaceutical firms of the world, I also believe
that there are still many natural alternative medical options
out there, and Dr Williams and his newsletter "Alternatives"
is an excellent source of information on the ongoing
discoveries and applications of these natural
remedies. |
|
I've also turned to
Dr. Stephen Sinatra and his website a lot to get myself more
informed about personal health maintenance. Besides a
very informative newsletter and tons of rational medical
advice such as "Keep Your Body Vigorous and Beautiful and Your Mind Sharp"
Dr. Sinatra has a really great collection of healthy recipes
on his site. Living well doesn't mean you need to eat
bland food, and these recipes prove that. He'll have you
looking forward to each meal, and while you're enjoying them,
you'll also be making progress towards your fitness
goals. This site is definitely worth checking out. |
Another of the major resources
that we've used to make sure we're doing the right things is a book titled
" BODY FOR LIFE: 12 WEEKS TO MENTAL AND PHYSICAL FITNESS FOREVER
" by Bill Phillips. This book contains a 12
week program that is sure to get results. I strongly recommend
that you pick up a copy of this book and start your own 12 week
transformation. When you do, you'll find that it's recommended
that you begin to supplement your diet with any number of
specially formulated products, and you can purchase those
products online right now, directly from the
Body For Life Website.
If you are having a hard time motivating yourself, get
involved in the Body For Life contest. Who knows, you
might wind up winning a ton of money for your efforts at
living better. |
