Probably the oldest
form of Ultralight flight, balloons have been around since man
first started trying to emulate the birds. Today,
balloonists are constantly pushing the boundaries of the sport,
using state of the art envelopes and materials to attempt global
cricumnavigations and other daring feats of extreme
ballooning. On the more relaxed side of the sport, there
is almost nothing to compare with the serene feeling of floating
silently aloft, watching the scenery slowly drift by below the
basket of a hot air balloon.
